See this beautiful hop farm in action! What started out as a purchase of a cherry farm for camping has turned into the Michigan Hop Alliance, a small 30 acre hop farm owned and operated by Brian and Amy Tennis. Michigan previously wasn't known as a hop growing region, but our 45th parallel location proved ideal. View the 12 hops varieties and learn about how the flavor of hops dictates the beer
About New Mission Organics:
Brian and Amy Tennis have owned the New Mission Organics property since 1998, saving it from being turned into a subdivision. They had the acreage rezoned from residential back into agricultural and are working with the Leelanau Conservancy to make sure it remains a farm forever. Their hops are sent to some of the premiere Michigan breweries such as Grand Rapids Brewing Company, Griffin Claw, Founders, Kuhnhenn, The Livery, New Holland, Filling Station, Osgood, Pike 51, Short's, Stormcloud, and Vivant.
Twilight Tours are free but please RSVP.
