Farm to Table—A Tour for Farmers and Chefs
Get a close up view of Undertoe Farm, a small scale organic farm and CSA in Kewadin, MI. Haley Breniser and Adam Brown's goals as stewards of the land are to improve soil biodiversity, grow delicious, fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and ethically-raised chickens for neighbors and friends. Their produce is available through our farm-share program (weekly produce boxes), Elk Rapids Farmer's Market, Village Market Grocers, and also distributed via Cherry Capital Foods. This tour is a special tour for farmers, the Chefs of the American Culinary Federation and culinary students from Northwestern Michigan College.
Twilight Tours are an opportunity for area small farmers to learn from one another’s practices through a series of tours and farmer-led workshops. Farm tours are particularly valuable for beginning farmers as a way to build relationships, observe a wide variety of management styles and find support from a peer network. Upcoming Twilight Tours will have a unique theme, depending upon the farm. Following the tour will be plenty of time for Q&A.
