Join the NW Michigan Herb Guild, April 9, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for this first full length virtual guild meeting. The topic will be "The Apothecary Garden", led by the herb guild coordinator, Patti Travioli, Proprietor/Horticulturist of Heartwood Forest Farm. She will be facilitating a practice of sharing and discussion of growing an apothecary garden that includes general tips and tricks on staring herb seeds indoors, what can be planted directly in the garden and when, soil preparation, and what herbs grow best in containers.
Prior to the meeting, if you have specific herb growing questions, you can email them to patti@heartwoodforestfarm.com
1: Questions will be collected and shared with the herb guild group prior to the meeting for further discussion.
2: If you have unique or creative solutions to limited supplies and/or space, please share!
3: Think about what herbs YOU really need. And grow a lot of those. No need to grow everything!
4: As an herb grower, would you consider participating in growing a "row" of medicine for our community?
5: If you have questions about foraging, also please send in questions. First, learn about the Honorable Harvest
6: There will also be some open time for additional questions and updates.
