Introduction to Holistic Management® Land Planning: Concept practice @ Crosshatch headquarters

  • Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology 2543 Vandermark Road Bellaire, MI, 49615 United States (map)

Join us to engage in the steps of land planning for farming and ecological function through a Holistic Management® framework using the example of the Crosshatch headquarters property in Bellaire, MI.

After a brief discussion of land planning steps, participants will be guided in a team process to offer creative ideas about land use considerations. We will brainstorm ideas emerging from the Crosshatch vision to develop a 50-acre property into a nonprofit headquarters, an ecological farmstead, an artist residency program, and a community space for small gatherings.

What is Holistic Management® Land Planning? A process that will create a blueprint and roadmap to create the farm landscape that will satisfy your goals and values.

  • Why do it? Plan your landscape and infrastructure development to be cost-effective, avoid duplicating efforts and undoing previous work, and make capital investments expeditious and profitable.

  • How will it work? The process of Holistic Management® Land Planning will be facilitated by Holistic Management Certified Educator, Larry Dyer using the Crosshatch property as a case study.
