Poetry in the Wild Time

Every Thursday from 7 to 8 pm, we'll get as close as we can to a comfortable old living room. Put on a kettle for tea, or pour a splash of whiskey, and pull out a poem that's been speaking to you. Or just come and listen.

If we were doing this in person, there would be some baked goods on a chipped plate, and the cats and the kids would be underfoot, and at least a few of us would be in our slippers. Instead, we'll do it by zoom (we will provide the necessary zoom sign in info Thursday afternoon) and you can come in your PJs or your old barn coat.

We'll make room for the poets, and we'll make room to breathe, and to check in. Bring your whole self—whatever you are feeling, hoping for, grieving, worried for, visioning, doing—and we'll just share. Or just listen. We'll cap it at around twelve-to-fourteen readers/speakers to make sure we have time for everyone

Brought to you by Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology and the Bellaire Public Library.

We'll do it every week for as long we need to.
