Growing in Hoophouses and Greenhouses

Get a snapshot of a farm other than your own and get a close up view of over 11,000 sq. feet of covered growing space at Bear Creek Organic Farm. On this tour, you'll see how Brian and Anne use their two hoophouses and two greenhouses to produce crops 52 weeks of the year. This tour takes place during high summer production so you can see tomato and cucumber trellising techniques, microgreen production, herb production, and intensive planting strategies. 

Twilight Tours are an opportunity for area small farmers to learn from one another’s practices through a series of tours and farmer-led workshops. Farm tours are particularly valuable for beginning farmers as a way to build relationships, observe a wide variety of management styles and find support from a peer network. Upcoming Twilight Tours will have a unique theme, depending upon the farm. Following the tour will be plenty of time for Q&A.
